Apprentice Cabinetmaker

Our team is always on the lookout for talented people to join our successful and dynamic cabinetmaking business in Portland. Kustom Kitchens has a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship.


We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, hardworking apprentice to help manufacture, deliver and install our cabinetry in Portland and surrounding areas. We will teach a very wide range of skills required to deliver many unique projects.

This position will be full-time, Monday to Friday. 7.30 to 4.00, with some overtime available.

Qualified Cabinetmaker

An opportunity has arisen to be part of a successful and dynamic cabinetmaking business in Portland, South West Victoria. Portland is a beautiful seaside community, and Kustom Kitchens has a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship.


Our business has been supplying mid to high-end cabinetry to the residential market for the past 15 years. We supply and install cabinetry in new and existing houses, shop fitouts and supply bespoke furniture and joinery to the public. 


We are looking for a driven, fully qualified cabinetmaker with a good eye for detail to deliver and install our cabinetry in Portland and surrounding areas. 

The applicant will be responsible for:

☑️ Delivery and installation of a wide range of cabinetry and joinery

☑️ Manufacturing of cabinetry in a workshop environment

☑️ Directing apprentices when required

☑️ Maintaining a clean and safe workspace

This position will be full-time, with hours to be worked between 7.30 am and 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be required.

☑️ Be very accurate with all installation work, including levelling, scribing, joining and mitring to small tolerances

☑️ Be willing to learn new skills and techniques

☑️ Have excellent verbal & written communication skills

☑️ Be organised, efficient and willing to meet deadlines

☑️ Show a good understanding of mathematics

☑️ Have at least three years of installation experience

☑️ Have a trade qualification/certificate

☑️ Hold a current driver's licence

☑️ Hold a current First Aid Certificate

☑️ Hold a Red/white card

☑️ Hold current Working with children check
